Who is the Wilderness First Responder Course For?

Wilderness First Responder is accepted as the international standard for outdoor professionals and is a minimum requirement by many companies, If you want to work as an outdoor instructor, a guide, or your job takes you to remote locations, this course is for you. While much of your time is spent completing practical skills and scenarios, we will immerse you in this intensive format which will leave you with confidence in your ability to act. The Wilderness First responder Course WFR focuses on, Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies and Survival Skills, Soft Tissue Injuries, and Medical Emergencies. Although the WFR appears to cover the same basic topics covered in Basic Wilderness First Aid & Advanced Wilderness First Aid courses, the topics are covered far more extensively, and there is much more hands-on practice.

Course Delivery Method?

Our WFR course provides students the convenience of an online pre-study module which covers core theoretical topics.

Students are given access to the Online component of the course immediately after they complete their registration and enrollment in the course.

The online portion provides students the opportunity of reviewing material in the comfort of their own home and at their own pace.

Once completed the students then move to the in-person practical portion of the course where they are given 2 days of hands on practice with the skills & concepts they have become familiar with through their online pre-study.

5 STARS"

I recently completed my WFR recertification with Wilderness Rescue Solutions and highly recommend them as a course provider. The on-site practical training, paired with online modules easily allows for participants to fit courses into busy schedules. Additionally, the knowledgeable instructors have an immense amount of real world experience, allowing them to provide participants with realistic scenarios that adequately prepare them to deal with emergencies in the field. This is my second course I have completed with Wilderness Rescue Solutions and I will be looking to do more with them in the near future."
