COME TO THE WILDERNESS
The Place Where a Wilderness Course Should Be Taught
Many of our courses are run on a 4000 acre property that is a combination of private land and crown land just off of Kushog Lake in the Algonquin Highlands. It is a 25 minute drive north of Minden on Hwy 35 towards Dorset. This area is a wildlife haven, with many observations of deer, moose, bear and plenty of small game and waterfowl. There are approximately 62 km of trails all leading to a remote and rustic 1911 log cabin.
This log cabin is where we host most of our training classes. It is very rustic inside, complete with a woodstove, generator to run the lights and a fully equipped kitchen with a propane stove. You also have the option of staying the night in this rustic atmosphere in one of the many bunk beds available. You may also pitch a tent or you can stay in local accommodations with our partner motels.
What would a wilderness course be without a wilderness cabin.
Students have the option of staying in the cabin while onsite taking a course.
Well of course it is a wilderness haven, where else would you teach wilderness courses?
Summer & Winter Camping
Students have the ability to camp outside the cabin onsite if they prefer to bring their own tent.
We Can Also Come To Your Company or Group & Provide Training At Your Location.
