This course is recommended for any person responsible for the care of a person with asthma or an anaphylaxis allergy.

It is particularly recommended for:

• Teachers,

• Camp councilor's,

• Out-Trippers,

• Sports Coaches,

• Parents / Guardians.

This course is suitable for any person who is involved in the administration of adrenaline pens (currently Epipen, etc) and needs to be aware of the diagnosis and treatment of anaphylactic allergic reactions.

Nurses, Paramedics, Fire Fighters, EMT's Etc..

Anaphylaxis is an extreme and severe allergic reaction. The whole body is affected, often within minutes of exposure to the allergen but sometimes after hours. Emphasis in training is placed upon understanding the difference with an allergy and an intolerance; thereby learning how to support a child or adult with those needs.

We discuss allergy-avoidance and look at individual care-plans, how and where the auto-injector pens are stored safely. We go through various scenarios (on and off site for example) and so that everyone is equipped with how to deal with an anaphylaxis emergency.
